Bella ciao

Posted on April 25, 2015May 16, 2015 By Massimo Pennesi

Anonymous: Bella ciao
Italian partisan song

Based on a folk song sung by rice-weeders, Bella ciao is a partisan song, sung by the anti-fascist resistance movement active in Italy between 1943 and 1945.

Nowadays, not only in Italy but anywhere, it represents the resistance against any oppression and any threat to freedom.

Transcription for recorder and piano by Massimo Pennesi. This interactive score was published first in the post Bella ciao, in the blog educacionmusical.es.
