Giorgio Mainerio (1535?-1582): Schiarazula Marazula.

Folk dance of medieval origin transcribed by Giorgio Mainerio in 1582.

In the 17th century, it appeared in proceedings of the Tribunal of the Inquisition on charges of serving as musical accompaniment of a magical ritual to invoke the rain.
