Waltzing Matilda

Ballata popolare australiana

Su poema di Andrew Barton (Banjo) Paterson, Waltzing Matilda racconta la storia di un vagabondo che viaggia con le sue poche cose avvolte in una coperta. Il titolo, letteralmente: “ballando il valzer con Matilda”, significa in questo caso viaggiare con il fardello, affettuosamente chiamato con questo nome femminile.
