Anonymous (s. XVI): Ding dong! Merrily on High

Traditional English Christmas carol.

George Ratcliffe Woodward (1848–1934) published this Christmas song in 1924 in his The Cambridge Carol-Book: Being Fifty-two Songs for Christmas, Easter, And Other Seasons. He is the author of the lyrics, while the melody is an ancient popular French song.
